Honey Downs, oil/panel, 40" x 46", (click to enlarge)
Dreaming of summer after a long, long, cold winter.  One way to beat the blues is to imagine the light of summer.  It's a job for my memory to recall this kind of light, but I knew it once I got it right!

The painting is now drying in the studio. Once dry it will be shipped to Hunter Kirkland Contemporary in Santa Fe for exhibition and sale.

Vizcaya Gardens, FL
Just returned from 3 weeks in Florida where I spent time studying the plants and trees in several botanical gardens.  The Fairchild Gardens in Coral Gables had over 500 varieties of palms.  The Vizcaya Gardens were elegant and a delight to visit.  I think new paintings will be inspired by what I saw.
